JOB PROFILE: Gateway Coordinator

Gateway Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of an effective and efficient customer service to the business. They will be required to carry out all department activities in accordance with the industries best practice, ISO, standard operating procedures, regulatory compliance and H & S.

Must have knowledge and understanding of how logistics or other large service organisations operate, have excellent knowledge of import/export procedures as well as having excellent understanding of freight industry security processes and complete understanding of DfT/CAA, HMRC and IATA regulations.

Some previous experience of Consolidations and gateway functions an advantageCustoms reports as requiredCo–ordinate vehicles to collect and deliver from the airline within a timely manorMotivation skillsAbility to develop through trainingClear verbal and written communication skillsTo work effectively as an individual and a member of a team by cooperating and supporting colleagues in the workplacePrevious experience of working in freight industryAbility to effectively use a range of ICT applicationsProven commitment to continuous professional developmentProfessional approachTo have a systematic and methodical approach to workThe ability to listen and explain information accurately and clearlyComplete all tasks necessary in accordance with deadlines.Maintain an integral, transparent and professional relationship with GFF supplier/customer base at all times.Responsible and Accountable to ensure company property is looked after and used correctly and safely at all times.Raise records in the ETSF and discharge T1 s from overnight DDX deliveriesManage the sequential flow of consignments arriving and departing maintaining a 100% level of accuracy, robustness, safety and security.Ensure accurate data capture and uploading of information into in house operating system.Ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved department procedures and deadlines.Any other tasks as directed by their Supervisor or line managerInternal and external rates reviews.Resolve queries from customers and suppliersEnsure Best Practice models are adoptedCustoms reportingFollow strict and time sensitive SOP s/KPI s to ensure complianceWork closely with internal and external customersFocus on customer serviceUse of Next Gen/MS office as requestedEnsure invoicing, job costing, CIA, Netting and milestone are updated within the required timeframeRemain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationshipsCost control Essential Technical Experience:

Fully PC literate on excel, and word applicationsExperience of working within Consoles an advantageExperience of Airline transport an advantageExperience of working with Freight ForwardingExperience of DfT/CAA, HMRC and IATA regulations. Required Behavioural Competencies:
