Summary:

As Finance & Administration Manager, you will oversee all financial and administrative functions, ensuring robust financial management and operational efficiency. Your understanding of logistics operations will be key in aligning financial strategy with the unique demands of freight forwarding for this specialist 3rd party Logistics business. This role will play a crucial part in supporting commercial and operational transactions, contributing significantly to the successful performance of the UK operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day–to–day financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow managementOversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial complianceLiaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodiesSupport logistics operations with cost analysis, margin tracking, and financial planningLead and develop the admin team to ensure smooth internal processesImplement and maintain financial systems and controlsCollaborate with operations and commercial teams to drive profitability and efficiencyHR related administration for new starters, leavers etcAny necessary administration for the office facilities and systems

Experience:

Proven experience in finance and administration management, ideally within logistics or freight forwardingUnderstanding of international shipping, customs, and supply chain processesAccounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferredExcellent analytical, leadership, and communication skillsProficiency in financial software and ERP systemsAbility to thrive in a fast–paced, deadline–driven environmentProcessing Your Data
