About the role:

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the effective running of the Palletnetworks operation, overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products. You will manage people, processes, and systems to meet productivity targets and maintain administration and driver planning systems.

Key responsibilities include:

Customer Service: Managing the planning and coordination to meet all business needs. You will also communicate service-related issues to customers and provide accurate information for both customers and the operational team to make informed decisions.People Management: Managing and organizing the allocation of workload, recruiting new team members, and leading, motivating, and inspiring the team to achieve business performance goals. This includes performance management, coaching, and ensuring adequate training.Communication: Ensuring effective communication with internal and external customers, suppliers, and operational teams. You will also attend meetings and provide feedback to your teams. About you:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of proven experience in a transportation or distribution management role. You should have a mature, professional approach with the confidence to communicate with all levels of people. Strong influencing skills, excellent numerical skills, and a sound understanding of budget management are essential. You must also be PC literate with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, and transport IT/web-based systems. The ability to think quickly and make confident decisions is also required.

Candidates with experience of: Pallet networks Deputy Manager, Transport Manager, Distribution Manager, Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, Depot Manager may also be considered for this role.
