THE ROLE:DELIVERY DRIVER

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently from the warehouse to customers at businesses. You will play a vital role in ensuring clients receive their orders on time, every time, and that each delivery upholds standards of professionalism and courtesy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Pick up and transport goods from the client s facilities, to the customer locations, adhering to established routes and schedules. Loading and unload ng items carefully, ensuring packages are secure and protected during transit. Navigating using GPS devices, traffic updates, and route planning to optimise delivery times and avoid delays. Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding estimated arrival times, any unexpected delays, and special delivery instructions. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, receipts, mileage, and fuel usage. Demonstrate excellent customer service by greeting customers with respect, handling queries, and managing any concerns professionally. Follow all safety and traffic regulations and uphold the company s commitment to safe driving practices. Keep delivery vehicles clean and presentable, both inside and out. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES

A valid UK driver s licence (specific class may be required depending on vehicle type). Clean driving record with no major infractions/ zero points Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Good physical condition able to lift and carry parcels and packages. Polite, professional communication style. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks (training provided as needed).
