Class 2 Driver

Description

Gi Group are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers for immediate starts.

We are looking for Class 2 Drivers for ongoing work.

0700 starts

Monday to Friday

Average 9 hour shift

Pay & Benefits:

– 18.18 per hour

Please note that pay rates include holiday pay

Main Duties will include:

– Ensuring vehicle walk around and checks are completed before your shift

– 10–15 deliveries per shift

– Liaise with your Drivers mate to check correct orders fulfilled

– Securing loads

– Handball

– Unloading when arriving at Customer premises

– Delivering safely to customers throughout the UK

– Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

The Candidate:

– A positive attitude and work ethic, always keen to learn new skills

– Presentable with a keen eye for detail

– No more than 6 penalty points (No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes will be accepted

– Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC

– Must be able to read, write and communicate in English to adhere to health and safety requirements

– Have good customer service skills

– Willing and able to lift up to 20kg

– Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 2 Driver
