Description
Metis is a mixture of linen and cotton and is the traditional French sheeting fabric. Beautifully tactile, it improves with use and will last a lifetime. These sheets were traditionally embroidered as part of a bride's trousseau
This sheet is a rare find. Unused and unopened from it's tissue paper wrapper, circa 1910 - VERY high quality. I would say the thread count is in the region of 1000 and size is super king, it's very large !

The sheet is VERY heavy and a unique opportunity to own not only a piece of history but a sheet of the kind of quality you will never see today.
I'm selling one of several bought at auction. I'm using the others on my own bed.
Wash incredibly well and just get better with each wash.
