Senior Flights & Ticketing Executive

An award-winning travel company are recruiting an experienced Flights & Ticketing Executive to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for administering new bookings and issuing tickets through varied systems including GDS Galileo, whilst supporting the product support team and building relationships with airlines. This is a varied role and will work closely with other departments to improve performance and maximise any opportunities through the selection of fares. This is a fully remote role and offers a basic salary of £29k to £30k and is home based.

Senior Flights & Ticketing Executive - Role & Responsibilities:

· Managing fare and ticketing queues

· Offering the best options to the sales agents on flights and fares, advising of the best products

· Check fares on a regular basis to save and generate extra revenue.

· Offer help to the sales team in using offline systems.

· Maintain professionalism and credibility with airline contacts.

· Reviewing reports looking at trends and areas for improvement and report this to the Head of Operations.

· Complete work to a high standard to strict timescales

Senior Flights & Ticketing Executive - Skills & Experience Required:

· A minimum of 4 years working knowledge of a GDS, preferably Galileo, but Amadeus or Sabre will also be considered.

· Experience in dealing with a wide range of scheduled air enquiries & bookings.

· The ability to find alternative carrier/route options

· Experience working in travel with a good knowledge of putting together long-haul flight itineraries

· Experience with ticket issuing/reissuing/ADM's/BSP's & Refunds

· The ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritise a busy workload.

· Excellent attention to detail with excellent communication skills

Senior & Ticketing Executive – Key Benefits:

· Salary of £29k to £30k depending on experience

· Home based role

· Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.30 with approx. 1 weekend per month on average.
