Pyramid8 is delighted to be supporting a non-for-profit organisation based in Pontefract. The nursery strives to put the wellbeing of their employees at the heart of what they do, and as a non-for-profit organisation, they have the freedom to make decision based on what’s “right” for Nursery, rather than what will make the most profit.

As a Nursery Nure you will be responsible for:

* To contribute to the planning of a program of activities in the area where you are based.

* Work alongside parents to give full integration in the nursery in line with the child’s needs.

* Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.

* To support volunteers in the setting and encourage their professional development.

* Liaise with and support parents and other family members.

* To be flexible within the working practices of nursery, to include undertaking certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleaning of equipment, etc.

* Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the Pomfret Woodland Community Nursery is fulfilled.

* Look upon the nursery as a ‘whole’, be constantly aware of the needs of all children.

* To develop reflective practice and be open to personal and professional development.

* To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds and stages of development.

* To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing and meet the needs of individual children.

* To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times.

Experience needed:

* Level 3 in a recognised childcare field, that is deemed relevant by the DFE and Ofsted

* GSCE in English and Maths or equivalent

* Basic food hygiene

* Paediatric first aid

* Level 1 safeguarding

In return you will receive an hourly rate of £13.18 Working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week. Latest finish time 4pm or 5pm. Earliest start 8am
