Adventure Travel Consultant

Gecko Travel Recruitment are delighted to be working with this Specialist Tour Operator who are looking for a Travel Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis.

As Travel Consultant you will be dedicated to delivering unforgettable adventure holiday experiences for both new and returning customers. We're seeking someone with a passion for travel and/or cycling, alongside strong customer service and sales skills. No prior travel industry experience is required as full training will be provided.

The role:

* Handling sales enquiries and customer queries via phone, email, and live chat

* Managing and processing bookings, including reservations for unconfirmed trips

* Proactively following up on sales prospects and opportunities

* Finalising trip arrangements with customers, partners, guides, and suppliers

* Processing customer balances and payments

You will have:

* A passion for travel or adventure holidays

* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

* Strong IT literacy and ability to use booking/sales systems

* Proven background in sales and/or customer service

* High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure

* A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach

* Previous travel industry experience (advantageous but not essential)

* Fully office-based with some flexibility for hybrid working after induction
