Morning SEND Teaching Assistant (Reception 1:1) – North Tyneside

Salary: £222.30 – £237.50 per week (based on mornings only)

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in their early education? We’re looking for a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Reception at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Tyneside. This mornings-only position is ideal if you're looking for a part-time role that’s both rewarding and impactful.

Your Role as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

In this role, you'll work 1:1 with a Reception-aged pupil, offering tailored support that helps them feel safe, engaged, and confident during their school morning.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support for a Reception-aged pupil with SEND

Follow and implement tailored learning plans and activities

Encourage communication, social interaction, and independence

Create a calm, structured, and nurturing environment

Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to meet the child’s needs

What We’re Looking For:

Experience supporting young children with SEND, ideally in Early Years

A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A genuine passion for inclusive education and early development
