Description
This excellent OHV (OverHead Valve) engine has been removed from a TORO Model 29639, serial number 312000553 rotary powerdrive lawn mower body which is 'unfit for purpose' due to corrosion.
Its base mounting to the mower body is identical to that of similar Briggs&Stratton and Tecumseh engines, making it a popular engine of choice for a wide range of rotary mowers, including non-powerdrive models
This engine, in very good working order just prior to being removed, looks really good and original. Compressions are excellent, and I believe that it will start and run well, giving many years of reliable service. The oil and petrol have been drained to prevent any problems in storage and transit. (I am currently expecting delivery of a new replacement air filter and cover, which have been 'mislaid' since the removal of the engine. These 2 new items will be fitted, and included in the sale.)
It comes complete with the power drive belt pulley and its well used, but sharpened and servicable, cutting blade. Many other parts are also still lying around and available, including the complete powerdrive sytem (in perfect working order), handles and rusting body.
