Coronet No.1 wood lathe
Brundall, Norfolk
£110
Description
A good solid twin-bar bed lathe that I have owned since new. If you research this lathe you will find it was introduced in the 1970's (I bought it in the 80's). It has the capacity to turn a 12" (30cm) bowl and a 2ft (60cm) spindle, although it may go a few more cms as my bench only allows for 60cm. By reconfiguring the mounting arrangements larger bowls can be turned.
I have used this on and off over the years and now want to upgrade.
This lathe has three speeds, changeable by belt and pulley.
The lathe comes with a 4" faceplate and turning centres (which are no.1 morse taper). Also included is a Henry Taylor Masterchuck.
The lathe is still being used today and can be seen working.
Note that this is a heavy machine but can be broken down into it's constituent parts for transport. Due to it's weight this is collect only from Brundall.
