I felt the initial price quoted for replacing a shed base was quite expensive, but went ahead with a package price including some other services, which had the shed base replacement discounted. After few days working on the shed base, Frank let me know that he wasn’t able to do the flower bed edging I had asked for, due to cement holding in the existing patio - I had already explained this when he provided the initial quote and no issues were raised. He said the only way to do the edging was the bricks & cement, which would add an additional £650 to the quote. I felt that this should have been checked at the beginning of the job, not after a few days and after ordering materials which he then claimed could not be refunded, and I would be charged for. Although the shed base was completed well, I felt cheated for the price I ended up paying for it as Frank was aware I had only proceeded with the job at the agreed rate with the discounted shed base, which I feel should have been honoured. Sadly would not use again on that basis.
