Description

Range Rover L322 3.6L TDV8 2007 MOT till 28th. of May 2026
£3950 OVNO
Glasgow, United Kingdom

My L322 TDV8 is now for sale.
It's a 2007 only done just under 113k miles. It’s MOT’d till 28th of May 2026. I've owned it for almost 11 years. Never normally keep a car this long but I love this one.

In the time I’ve owned it, it’s had a gearbox service with the ZF approved agent, new front and rear discs, new battery with 5 year warranty and a brand new aircon pump. It’s also had the O ring seals on the injectors replaced recently along with a new power steering cooler, new air conditioning condenser and both diffs and transfer box oils were changed.
When I first bought it I fitted a new compressor for the air suspension so the suspension has never given any trouble. The brake pipes were replaced iwith Kunifer pipe so they should outlast the life of the car. (Top tip, the factory fitted steel brake pipes rust badly over time and copper ones can harden then crack which is why they are banned in the USA.)

It's Zermatt silver with a dark blue leather interior piped in cream. I love the colour combo and I've never seen another one. When I bought it the front plastic bumper cover was broken so I took the opportunity to replace it with a Stornaway grey front bumper as I wanted the contrast. Personally I like it but you’ll have your own views. That's the only damage the car has had that I know of other than the usual car park scrapes. A Range Rover like a Barbour jacket or coat wears its scars with pride and it's 18 years old and as strong as ever because it's been well looked after.

All the toys including TV, heated seats, heated steering wheel, parking sensors all round, multi CD changer and detachable towbar with the twin electric sockets. Probably no need to mention the standard stuff like electric seats, heated seats and steering wheel, electric windows, electric sunroof, electric heated powerfold mirrors, cruise control, automatic lights/wipers and dipping mirrors.
Lots of other things that I can't think of as I take them for granted.

I rate the 3.6L TDV8 the most practical of all the L322s as it's easier to fix than the later 4.4. I get 33-36 on motorways 26-28 locally, although that drops in the city centre at peak times to around 24mpg.
It averaged 33mpg on a recent 600 mile (ahem, fast) run down south. Two days in rush hour traffic plus the return to Glasgow overall averaged a very credible 29.7mpg.
It's got a few marks on the paintwork mainly collected in supermarket car parks where the spaces seem to constantly be shrinking, not that it gives me a problem but it certainly causes problems for others. Oh, and the mirrors fold in at the push of a button and the nearside one automatically dips when reversing to show you the kerb.
The upper tailgate paint is bubbling along the bottom edge but it appears to be just the paint with the metal solid underneath and I intended to sand it back, seal and repaint it by feathering in the bottom 1” edge then clearcoating it. So if I haven’t done it the car will come with the paint I’ve bought.

I’ve tried to show everything in the photos from the Harmon Karden sound system to the TV and computer fuel read out, carpets and auto lights. I can’t think when I’ve had anyone in the rear seats other than my young grandson. The two MPG figures are after a long motorway run and the second is the average over the last couple of years and it also notes the average speed as 26.4MPH, so this lower fuel consumption figure reflects being stuck in rush hour traffic jams either with the aircon at full blast or the heater, heated seats and heated steering wheel all consuming power.

The car, like its owner, was built for comfort and is IIRC my seventh. Everytime I decide I need a change and look at what’s available I come back to this full fat Range Rover, not to be confused with the lesser sports version. (Sorry guys who have sports but you know it’s one big step away from the real deal.)
For a car of it’s age it has only averaged < 6300 miles per year and the interior when cleaned is pretty much immaculate. Best to view the car yourself and make up your own mind.
It had it’s last full service less than 3000 miles ago.

What is wrong with it? The answer is nothing that I'm aware of other than the reversing camera works intermittently. Suspension works beautifully and I have to lower it to access height regularly for a vertically challenged friend. Ditto traction control, ABS etc and all the other tricks that make these cars arguably unique and unstoppable.

It needs a good wash as I haven’t managed to do it due to my arthritis and I don't like the brutality of car washes.

It has all the handbooks in the leather folder and it comes with both sets of keys. Key fob is worn but you can replace it easily. I can include a digital copy of the factory workshop manual.

I’ll also be selling separately my IID tool which I suggest is a must have for any RR owner as it allows you to read and clear any fault codes was well as calibrate and test various systems.

I've just remembered the greatest feature in winter, which is the remote controlled heater. In the winter just press the key fob and the interior will be toasty warm and windows/mirrors defrosted in ten minutes before you get in.

Price? I think it worth £3,950 given the low mileage but it must be sold as my new car has arrived so I’ve Sorned this one. It must go, I don’t have room for it so I’m open to very sensible offers.

Please PM me with any questions or if you'd like to arrange to view. I am on the outskirts of the south side of Glasgow near Jct 4 off the M77. (That means I can drive from here to London without a single traffic light until I leave the motorway after circa 400 miles.)
I might also be able to drop it off in return for a plane or train ticket home.

At the asking price you are buying a car which according to Autocar this cost a whisker under £70,000 new so at the price it represents great value for money, has presence, exudes comfort and luxury and can handle anything you throw at it road or weather condition wise.

Once again they are forecasting snow this winter so if it comes these always jump up in price.

Thanks for reading.
