RIBER single seater open canoe/kayak hybrid

Description

I’ve been on lakes, rivers, and even the sea in this canoe and it has been a dream to paddle. It has a lower centre of gravity and a fairly wide beam, which makes it super-stable.

It’s made of a blended polymer, pre-formed construction incorporating built-in keels running the length of the boat, which makes it track well, whilst also being very manoeuvrable. It can be used with either a classic canoe paddle or a double-bladed kayak paddle. The seat has a folding backrest, which is convenient for transporting it on top of the roof rack. The seat can be moved forward or backward along the built-in poles, then locked in position. The seat also has a handy cup holder. Two metal yokes provide extra strength, and it has carry handles on each end, but it can easily be carried by one person or attached to a canoe cart for longer portages.


It’s a few years old and has been used regularly but it’s still in excellent condition and has many years of life left in it.

It really is a very nice boat, and I’m going to miss it. If you need a paddle or a life jacket, let me know. I may have spares I can throw in for free.

Oh BTW, the orange thing in the pictures is a homemade flotation device. If somehow you should manage to capsize it, that’ll keep it afloat. I’m happy to leave it in or remove it as you wish.
