Description

Here is your chance to own a classic. brought this bike as a project to get on the road and use for a bit off fun.
Here is a list of everything that has been done to date...
front and rear brake rebuild
new tryes, front and rear
new lights and indicaters
new rear light
new brake hoses
new coils, HT caps
new rear shocks
new chain
new battery
Repainted the wheels
front forks have been rechromed and rebuilt
The engine does turn over, and compression is good on all four cyclinders. all the electrics check out and get a good spark. However I am having trouble to get it to run, it is stubburn.
I can get it to run, and it runs well, but once it is cold, it struggles.I think that the fuel injection system is temperamental and probably needs to be converted to carbs, which is something that this model of bike was known for. unfortunatly this is beyond my expertise, and someone with the right setup and knowledge could probably sort out with no problem.
It is an import, and is uk registered.
The mileage is under 5k, but not sure if this is genuine, but with what I have found with the condition of most of the components, I would say that this a true reflection of the milage.
The tank will need looking at as there is rust inside and needs respraying. I have given it a coat of primer to prevent it from rusting on the outside.
For the year of this bike, it is in good condition, and with the right expertise this would be a good opportunity for someone to own a 80's classic. I am disapointed in my self that I could not get this on the road as I have always wanted to own something that is unique, shame.
