Big, imposing and unmistakably Jaguar, the MkVII combined traditional British luxury with the same XK-derived engineering that helped establish Jaguar's formidable competition reputation during the 1950s.

PLD 837 is the desirable MkVII M with the particularly appealing combination of the 3,442cc XK straight-six, manual gearbox and overdrive. Finished in white over a red leather cabin, it retains plenty of period character alongside a useful collection of paperwork and accessories.

History & Specification

The Jaguars early history is unknown, but by the mid-1970s PLD 837 belonged to Jaguar Club member Mr D Green, remaining with him into the mid-1980s. The car appeared in Jaguar Driver in 1984 and retains period show plaques.

A Mr Gardiner of Berkshire then owned the Jaguar from the mid-1990s until at least 2015, with the car subsequently being purchased by our vendor from AP Classics of Essex in October 2018.
