Description
Move Support Engineer
Euston, London
Salary approx £30,000
We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Smart Hands Engineer to support an office move project. This is a hands-on role, acting as the key link between the customer, contractors, and the network team, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
This is steady, structured, and predictable work. You'll be the dedicated on-site presence, ensuring a seamless transition for users and smooth collaboration between all parties.
Responsibilities for the Move Support Engineer include:
Audit and record user devices (phones, laptops, and other equipment).
Coordinate with cabling and Wi-Fi contractors to ensure installations are correct, tested, and signed off.
Check network switch capacity (ports and power) to support user moves.
Provide end-to-end move support:
Pre-test equipment ahead of the move.
Ensure kit is set up correctly at the new location.
Floorwalk post-move to resolve any small issues quickly.
For the role of Move Support Engineer, we are looking for:
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with users, contractors, and technical teams.
Practical experience in IT support, networking, or smart hands work is an advantage
