Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a legal cashier to join a highly regarded law firm based in London. The successful individual will join the finance department and ensure the cashier function runs smoothly and accurately, ensuring records are kept up to date daily. Candidates will work fully remotely, UK based.
Daily duties will include posting the daily office bank receipts and resolving remittance queries with the credit control team promptly, assisting with the day-to-day office account CHAPS and BACS payments, daily bank reconciliations as well as meeting with fee earners to discuss and resolve their matter balances and residual balances. Further duties include assisting the cashier supervisor with accounting functions, queries and requests as well as utilising the firm’s accounting system to its fullest to make the cashier function more efficient and cost effective.
Candidates will have gained extensive cashiering experience within the legal sector and will possess a firm grasp of SRA Accounts Rules. Excellent Excel skills are paramount as is knowledge of accounting software such as Partner 4 Windows. First class communication skills are essential coupled with the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
