Are you passionate about technology and great with people? Whether you’re just starting your career or already have experience in IT support, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re working with a forward-thinking, education-focused organisation whose mission is to provide exceptional education at the heart of the community. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join their friendly and supportive team.

This role is open to candidates at all levels – you might already be in a similar support role, just finished an IT course, or simply have a strong interest in tech and the motivation to learn. Full training will be provided, and there’s a clear pathway for career progression.

Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll benefit from up to 31 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), a generous local government pension scheme, and fully funded training and certifications.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting the smooth running of IT systems to help teaching, learning, and admin run efficiently

Providing technical support both in classrooms and deskside across multiple sites

Helping staff and students with their use of IT and AV equipment

Setting up and maintaining PCs, Macs, and other devices

Installing and updating software, managing access rights, and keeping systems secure

Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues

Collaborating with the wider IT service desk team to share knowledge and offer training

What we’re looking for:

Some hands-on experience or formal training in IT – OR a real passion for technology and helping people

Strong communication skills and a helpful, solutions-focused attitude

Interest or experience in audio-visual (AV) equipment is a bonus

Any Microsoft or IT certifications (e.g. MCDST, MCP) are great, but not essential

A full UK driving licence and access to your own car

Why join?

Be part of a respected, national organisation making a real difference in education

Enjoy a structured career path and real opportunities to grow

Access industry-recognised training, all fully funded

Benefit from generous holiday, pension, and a supportive team culture

If you’re ready to take the next step in your IT career – or start one – we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and start making a difference!
