Description

Quality Control Leader – Software & Tech

Monmouth, Wales | Hybrid Working | Up to £40,000 | Full-Time, Permanent

Are you ready to take ownership of quality in a cutting-edge software environment?

Our client develops specialist software and ecommerce solutions for the construction supply sector –powering the systems that keep their customers ahead.

We’re looking for a driven Quality Control Leader to be the bridge between Support, Projects, and Development – making sure every release is rock solid before it hits the market. This is not warehouse QC - this is about software quality: structured test planning, managing releases, improving processes, and ensuring performance at the highest level.

What you’ll be doing:

* Leading and developing a small (and growing) QC team

* Creating, running, and refining test plans for new features and major releases

* Coordinating release schedules and compiling release notes

* Managing automated test scripts and processes

* Sharing knowledge across teams to raise our quality game

* Identifying and implementing smarter ways to test and release

What you’ll bring:

* Proven experience in structured software testing, test scripts, and QC processes

* Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills

* A process-driven, analytical mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve

* Experience with Python, Java, Sikuli (or similar) is a plus, but not essential

* ISTQB certification or similar? Even better

Why join?

* Hybrid working – enjoy the balance of office and home

* Impact from day one – be the quality voice in our tech delivery

* Growth potential – one direct report now, with scope to build your own team

* Monday–Friday, office hours – no late nights or weekend shifts

If you’ve got the skills, the drive, and the appetite to lead quality in a tech-focused role, we want to hear from you.

Apply now and make your mark on software that powers an entire industry
