The Company

A fantastic opportunity to join a leading hospitality franchise with over 600 hotels across the UK/Ireland and Europe.

There are 120 people in the UK head office and team follow a hybrid work pattern.

You’ll join a LEAN, agile business environment that adopts LEAN principles.

The Role

We’re looking for a Data Business Analyst to join the business on interim basis. This is initially a 6-month contract (outside IR35) with a requirement to be in their North Oxfordshire office 3-days per week.

This is a multi-faceted role and the objective will be to assist the group in driving forward their data capability. The business is currently migrating from a legacy Microsoft environment to MS Azure.

We’re ideally looking for an experienced BA with strong data experience who can work cross-functionally and also assist with dashboarding work.

Responsibilities:

* Requirements Gathering & Documentation

* Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and define detailed requirements.

* Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories.

* Document functional and non-functional requirements to ensure clarity across teams.

* Work closely with the data delivery and analytics teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives.

* Data Analysis & Execution

* Partner with data engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to define and deliver actionable data products.

* Develop and maintain data models that accurately reflect business requirements.

* Support data analysts in exploratory scripts, logic investigations, and data validation.

* Reverse engineer existing (“as-is”) and future-state (“to-be”) data pipelines for improved understanding and alignment.

* Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

* Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.

* Manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels, balancing priorities and expectations.

* Facilitate workshops, presentations, and demonstrations to communicate findings and solutions.

* Champion best practices in data governance, quality, and documentation.

Experience required:

* Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst, with examples of multiple data projects delivered end-to-end.

* Strong understanding of data modelling, data pipelines, and data product delivery.

* Experience working with multiple data sets from external resources.

* Excellent skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.

* Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, with attention to detail.

* Experience with MS Azure, Salesforce, Jira and PowerBI are all very beneficial.

* Experience in the tourism, hospitality, or related industries (desirable but not essential).
