Production Operative

This role is ideal for someone with production or manufacturing experience and a safety-first approach, although training will be provided.

Role: Production Operative (Double Days)

Location: DS Smith Packaging, Hurdon Road, Launceston, PL15 9HN

Job Type: Full Time, Contractual - 3 months initially with potential for extension

Pay:

Basic Rate: £13.13 per hour

Overtime 1 (x1.5 - Monday to Saturday AM): £19.70 per hour

Overtime 2 (x2 - Saturday PM & Sunday): £26.26 per hour

Shifts: 37 hours per week, Double Days Shift:

Week 1: Mon - Thurs 06:00 - 14:00 & Fri 06:00 - 11:00

Week 2: Mon - Thurs 14:00 - 22:00 & Fri 11:00 - 16:00

(Including 45-minute paid breaks Mon-Thurs and 15 minutes on Fri)

Start: ASAP (subject to interview and onboarding checks)

Key Responsibilities:

Operate machinery and equipment in a manufacturing/production environment

Follow Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOW) and UK Health and Safety legislation

Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery

Essential Requirements:

Driving licence and access to a car

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and SSOW
