D365 Data Migration Lead | £400 per day to £500 per day (Outside IR35) | 8 month Contract | Remote (Must be UK Based)
My client are currently migrating from AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 F&O. To support this we are seeking an experienced D365 Data Migration Lead, where you will play a critical role in guiding the existing team and collaborating closely with the Microsoft partner. This is a hands-on position where you’ll contribute across the full lifecycle; from strategy through to data loading and cut-over planning.
Key responsibilities:
Take ownership of the migration mid-project, ensuring momentum and successful delivery.
Lead and mentor the internal team, directing developers and ensuring best practices are followed.
Be hands-on with data load cycles, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Manage and work across multiple Azure D365 environments and customisations.
Investigate and fix bugs identified during data loading.
Advise on environment tier levels and evaluate system performance.
Develop and execute detailed cut-over plans.We’re looking for someone with:
Proven experience leading AX 2012 to D365 (F&O and CE) migration projects.
Strong technical knowledge of D365, Azure environments, and data migration tools/processes.
A hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic oversight and execution.
Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in complex data migration scenarios.
Strong communication and leadership skills to guide both internal teams and external partners.
