Remote UK

£550-£750 per day (Outside IR35)

3-6 months contract (Possible Extension)

An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced Data Architect with strong Azure experience looking to lead and architect a greenfield project.

This company is an established business focused on operational and management solutions, specialising in monitoring services.

In this role, you will join the data team and lead the design, build, and delivery of a brand-new data lake and data architecture from scratch. You will take full ownership of the data solution, including modelling and storage, working closely with senior stakeholders to define data strategy, governance, and structure tailored to an SME environment. This is a remote position based in the UK.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across the Azure Data stack, particularly with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse, and will be confident designing and delivering data lake and data warehouse solutions from the ground up. They will have a proven track record in building and optimising data pipelines, developing data models, and creating scalable, cost-efficient architectures.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer or Architect keen to lead the design and delivery of a new data platform from the ground up.

The Role:

*Hands-on lead role focusing on data architecture, build, and delivery from the ground up

*Define data strategy, governance, and structure for a new SME data platform

*Lead the development and maintenance of data models, data lake, and warehousing

*Outside IR35 Contract role based remotely in the UK

*3 month minimum contract term

The Person:

*Strong background in data architecture, engineering, and warehousing within the Azure stack

*Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and building data pipelines

*Able to design scalable, cost-effective solutions with a clear view of commercial and operational impacts

*Based in the UK
