Description
Made by Salter, these vintage bank scales probably date from around 1950’s.
Used for checking silver and copper coins up to £100 silver and £5 copper (pre decimalisation - 1971)
Judging by its weight, the body is cast iron and painted in bronze and mounted on a wooden plinth.
The brass coloured bowl on top appears to be plated but retains most of its original colour.
The dial retains all its original markings.
The scales are in original unrestored condition and ideal for a collector.
