Two RARE collectable vintage antique hardbacks covering natural history.
1. THE STORY OF LIVING THINGS AND THEIR EVOLUTION. By Eileen Mayo. First edition. Published in the 1950s by The Waverley Book Co Ltd, London. Introduction by Professor Julian Huxley. Almost 1000 illustrations in colour, including evolutionary tables. Good vintage condition, see photos. One loose page.
2. NATURE’S TEACHING. By the Rev J G Wood. Human Invention Anticipated by Nature. New edition. Published by J S Firtue & Co Ltd, London. Undated, but believe late 1800s early 1900s. Shows the close connection between nature and human inventions. In reasonable vintage condition considering age, see photos.
