Description
This is the Anchor light from the GRIMSBY TRAWLER Notts County GY643
Wrecked in the great storm January 1968 in Iceland, where many Trawlers failed to return to their ports.
Brought back by a crew member of that fatal voyage in 1986 on a return to Iceland to see what was left of the ship which was finally sold for scrap.
The lamp has been refurbished with new lenses and mounted on a small oak table in rememberance of this last voyage.
It has been fitted with up to date lamps, LED bulbs and new wiring which has been Pat Tested.
Would be nice to see this lamp staying in its home port of GRIMSBY.
