Description
Royal Bank of Scotland one pound note 1993 printing.
Featuring Lord Ilay, 1st Governor of the Bank and Edinburgh Castle on reverse.
Free P&P.
RBS 1993 note in fair to good used condition with no damage or tears.
Small crease to top left corner and some age related marks.

The Royal Bank of Scotland £1 note was first issued in 1987, with the design remaining in use until 2001. The note features a portrait of Lord Ilay, first governor of the Bank, with a depiction of Edinburgh Castle on the reverse.
The Royal Bank of Scotland began issuing banknotes as early as 1727, this particular design was introduced later.
The bank stopped regular production of the £1 note in 2001, although it remains legal currency but not legal tender.
