Description
This pristine 1:76 scale model is of a Bristol VR, a fleet of which were ordered by North Western but were delivered to the South East Lancashire and North East Cheshire Transport Executive (SELNEC) when all of the local authorities’ fleets in the area and part of North Western, were amalgamated.
They never wore North Western livery, but arrived in the colours of SELNEC.
Although they initially carried the SELNEC (Cheshire) logo, that was replaced by the one shown when Greater Manchester Transport was formed in 1974.
On a route from Stockport to Gatley with adverts for a timber supplier and Vernons Pools.
It’s never been out of its box. See photos of a second model.
