Description
YESTERYEAR TRAM
This 1:87 scale model of a 1920s tram built by United Electric of Preston, Lancashire replicates the enormous impact their design had on the tramways of Britain and Ireland.
Some survived into the 1950s in various electric forms, having given stalwart service during the war years when fuel was scarce.
The model is in absolutely perfect condition and back inside its marked box after photographing, having been in storage for some 25 years.
The background building is for photo enhancement.
Incidentally, the “Tram Museum” referred to on the box is properly called Crich* Tramway Village and the Derbyshire village in which is situated, is Crich, not Crick. It is a great day out with a score of old trams, including BLACKPOOL and LIVERPOOL.
*Pronounced Cry-ch.
