Description
This item is a genuine World War II U.S. Military 5-gallon fuel jerry can.
* Manufacturer: The bottom is stamped "Arvin Noblitt-Sparks Ind. Inc.". This was an automotive parts company in Indiana that shifted to producing war supplies during WWII.Production.
* Date: It is stamped 20-5-42, meaning it was manufactured in May 1942. Cans from early in the war are highly sought after by collectors.
* Branch Marks: The side is stamped "QMC" for the Quartermaster Corps, the branch of the U.S. Army responsible for managing and moving supplies. It is also stamped "U.S.A.". Material Spec: The "ICC 5" stamp stands for the Interstate Commerce Commission specification for steel shipping containers.
Great for display, prop, or for a vintage vehicle enthusiast.
Measures approximately 47cm tall, 35cm wide, and 16cm deep.
