This Edward VII 1903 Maundy set includes four coins year-dated 1903 and comes in the original case of issue. Maundy money is the name of coins given to pensioners by the monarch in a ceremony that takes place every Maundy Thursday. The style of Maundy coins as we know them dates back to the reign of Charles II. This 1903 set includes a silver penny, silver two pence, silver three pence and silver four pence in Very Fine condition. The coinage portrait of Edward VII is shown on the obverse of the coins.
