Description
Heritage vintage Drawn glass for sash windows or other projects.
This glass comes with the irregular surface, characteristic of window glass is common to the 18th and 19th centuries, authentic wavy surface.
I use this glass for sash restoration / refurbishment.
Can cut to needed sizes
Also have some regular “float” glass 4mm
Some additional information :
Glass drawing produced a larger and more regular surface and was very popular between 1920 and 1960.
Since 1960 the “float” process has consisted of floating a strip of molten glass on top of a bath of molten tin. This produces glass of a very large format with a perfectly flat surface and uniform appearance, unlike the wavy form of this drawn glass.
