Description
1. MARY THOMAS’S DICTIONARY OF EMBROIDERY STITCHES. First published in 1934 by Hodder & Stoughton. This edition in 1962. A comprehensive dictionary of stitches, beginning with ALGERIAN FILLING STITCH right through to ZIGZAG STITCH and all the stitches in between. With illustrations. In clean, near perfect condition. (A second 1954 copy, not in such good condition, available if wanted.)
2. NEEDLEWORK FOR GIRLS. A Junior Teach Yourself Book. By Isabel Horner. First edition published in 1950 by English Universities Press Ltd. Obviously a book of its time, suggesting needlework is just for girls! In good, vintage condition.
3. PRACTICAL HOME NEEDLECRAFT IN PICTURES. Of value to the beginner and expert needlewoman alike. By Dorothy M Cox. Published by Odhams Press Ltd. In good condition.
4. COMPLETE NEEDLECRAFT. By Agnes M Miall. Everything about embroidery, home dressmaking, knitting and crochet and home upholstery etc etc. Published by C Arthur Pearson Ltd. Undated, probably 1940s. In good vintage condition.
