FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPHERS COURSE books, three large hardback volumes 1,2 and 3, published 1964 in the USA

Invaluable advice and instructions for anyone wishing to improve their photographic / camera skills up to professional photographers’ standard. Originally this was marketed as a home study course under the guiding faculty a group of world famous professional photographers (hence the title) - including Richard Avedon, Joseph Costa, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Irving Penn and Bert Stern, among others. The home study support network is no longer available, but the books contain a vast amount of useful photographic knowledge and information. The course was published in four volumes. I do not have a copy of the fourth volume or knowledge of its contents, but the 24 comprehensive photographic lessons (within the three volumes being sold here) include: Finding and Creating Good Pictures, Composing Your Photographs, Black and White Photography, Colour Photography, Outdoor Lighting, Indoor Lighting, Scenic and Travel Photography, Portraits, Children, Weddings and Pets, Press Photography, Photojournalism, Still-Life Photography, Architecture and Interiors, Industrial Photography, Fashion Photography, Advertising Photography and Basic Movie Making, plus other relevant subjects. The course was written in the days of film cameras, but much of the advice, tips and know-how, is just as relevant when using today’s digital cameras. All three volumes are in excellent condition, are clean and have had minimum previous use. Only one page has become detached from its binder. Priced to sell, these books are being offered at vastly higher prices in America and are quite possibly unobtainable elsewhere in the UK. Sold as seen. From a pet and smoke-free home.
