Cassius Clay 1960 autograph.
Muhammad Ali gave a few of his Cassius Clay autographs to my father Paddy Monaghan when he stayed with Muhammad at his home in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Muhammad told my father he wrote them in 1960, but I don’t know if they were written before or after Muhammad won the gold medal at the 1960 Olympic Games.
This beautiful piece is double mounted in a light grey velvet mount over black with ROME XVII OLYMPICS CASSIUS CLAY displaying a photo of Muhammad Ali with his Gold Medal and a photo before he received it. Also there’s a photo of Muhammad fighting Zbigniew Pietrzykowsky in the finals, and a photo of Muhammad fighting Tony Madigan in the semi finals. Also beautifully displayed is the original 1960 Olympic Boxing Program and Ticket along with a fantastic 1960 Cassius Clay autograph, surrounded in a large 32x38 inches black frame. Comes with a 5th King Memorabilia COA and Monaghan COA and LOA.
