Description
Fireplace surround removed from our home after taking out an unwanted chimney breast.
It is cast iron, probably from early 1930s based on age of our house.
Measures 114cm high x 93cm wide x 15cm deep
The original glazed tiles are pale blue
It has been covered with several layers of paints of the years. I began to remove the paint from top shelf with a heat gun but stopped because of suspected lead based paints. You could take the surround to be chemically dipped which would restore it to it's best. Or the top shelf could just be repainted with black gloss to match the rest.
Giving away for free because of its condition. Collection only. It is possible to park a small van on our driveway.
