Description
Single Homeless Project has an opportunity for a Young Person's Worker – Shooters Hill ?to join and work in our team based in Greenwich . You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary starting at GBP28,953.79 and rising incrementally to GBP31,101.42 per annum.

About the Young Persons Worker role:
We re looking for passionate and driven individuals to join our team as Young Person s Workers, where you ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people accessing our services. In this role, you ll work directly with at–risk youth, empowering them to build the skills and confidence they need thrive independently in the community. Through personalised support and safety plans, you ll help them develop essential life skills, find stable housing, and secure education or employment opportunities that set them up for a brighter future.
You ll be the driving force behind each young person s journey towards independence, using a strengths–based, trauma–informed approach to guide and coach them through their challenges. By focusing on their strengths and aspirations, you ll provide the motivation and practical support they need to build a foundation for lasting success. You ll play a key role in connecting them with the right services and resources, ensuring they re fully prepared to live on their own and pursue their goals with confidence.

Please note we are recruiting for our Shooters Hill Service in SE18 3HY, but also have vacancies in wider Greenwich that candidates will be assessed for.
Skills and experience we're looking for in our Young Persons Worker:
You bring experience working with young people in the community and in accommodation services. Your toolkit includes practical skills in motivation and coaching young people Your approach is creative, analytical, trauma–informed and rooted in a strengths and recovery model. You can creatively inspire opportunities for our young people to thrive and to develop to their highest potential. A non–judgmental approach to working with young people with complex needs and to promote a strengths–based approach and an understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Strong team–working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a collaborative approach to supporting young people achieve the outcomes and goals we support them to set for themselves. A salary increase after successfully completing six month's probationary period A 37.5 hour working week including flexible working hours (core hours are 10am 4pm) in non–accommodation services 25 days annual leave, increasing annually to the maximum 30 days (plus paid Bank Holidays), A contributory pension scheme: Single Homeless Project will contribute the equivalent of 5% of your annual salary Staff Health Cash Plan and discounts scheme Comprehensive and integrated training programme designed specifically to develop the skills and knowledge involved in our work Closing date: Sunday 26th October at Midnight
