Job Title: Temporary Medical Secretary

Location: Bupa Cromwell SW5

Contract Type: Temporary (3 weeks)

Hours: Monday– Friday, 9–5

Salary: 12.50– 13.50 per hour

Start Date: 11 August– 29 August

About the Role:

We are seeking an organised and professional Temporary Medical Secretary to join our team and provide high–quality administrative and secretarial support within a busy clinical environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the service by supporting clinicians, maintaining accurate records, and acting as a point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide secretarial and administrative support to medical professionals and clinical teams Audio typing and word processing of clinic letters, reports, and medical documentation Manage and coordinate diaries, appointments, and clinics Deal with telephone and email enquiries in a professional and confidential manner Maintain and update patient records using electronic patient systems (e.g., EMIS, SystmOne, or similar) Handle referrals, test results, and follow–up appointments Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Medical Secretary or similar role in a healthcare setting Excellent typing, audio transcription, and IT skills Strong organisational and time–management abilities Professional and empathetic communication skills Familiarity with medical terminology and patient record systems Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Desirable:

Experience with NHS systems (e.g., EMIS, SystmOne, Lorenzo) AMSPAR qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
