We're currently recruiting for an exciting Temporary Accommodation Officer role with a local authority in Berkshire!
If you have experience in Housing, Homelessness Services, or Temporary Accommodation, this is a great opportunity to join a dedicated local authority team and make a real impact.
Role Overview:
Job Title: Temporary Accommodation Officer
Location: Berkshire (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Rate: Dependent on experience
Contract: 6 months, full-time (37 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities:
Manage placements for homeless households under statutory duties
Conduct property inspections and ensure housing compliance
Liaise with internal teams and external agencies
Monitor arrears, charges, and recharges
Maintain accurate client/property records
Support performance reporting and service improvement
What We're Looking For:
Background in temporary accommodation, housing management, or homelessness services
Understanding of homelessness legislation
Confident with property inspections and arrears recovery
Strong communication and IT skills
Full UK driving license - essential
