Description
Location: Leominster (newly registered) and Bodenham (in registration) 2–bed homes for children with EBD
Salary: Up to GBP34,963 per annum (including sleep–in allowance)
Join a supportive provider at an exciting time of growth, as we open two small, nurturing homes in Herefordshire. With one home in Leominster already registered and awaiting its first young person, and the second in Bodenham progressing through registration, this is a unique chance to help shape services from the beginning.
About the Role:
You ll lead by example in delivering high–quality, trauma–informed care for children and young people. This is a hands–on leadership role in a small team, where your commitment and resilience will be key to helping children feel safe, supported, and valued.
• Oversee and support the daily running of the home in line with care plans and safeguarding regulations
• Provide supervision, guidance, and motivation to staff
• Build trusting relationships with children and young people, promoting their emotional and social development
• Ensure all care is delivered in line with policies, procedures, and Ofsted standards
• Participate fully in the shift pattern, including sleep–ins (GBP60 per sleep)

About You:
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a residential childcare setting
• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People s Workforce (or equivalent) Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Flexible to work on a shift/rota basis (9.30am 11pm, sleep–in, 7am 10am single or double shifts)
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding, child development, and trauma–informed care
• Resilient, compassionate, and calm under pressure
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
