Description

Support Worker

Support people in Fife to build skills, increase independence and move on to their own housing through flexible agency shifts. You'll choose when you work, gain experience across different services and access funded training and qualifications.

Role details

Based in Fife, up to 15 per hour, flexible agency shifts with a rota that allows weekends off and paid holidays.

The role

As a Support Worker you'll work with adults in supported settings, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to live more independently. This role exists to provide flexible cover across services in the Fife area so individuals continue to receive consistent, person–centred support.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside clients to improve daily living skills and reduce barriers to independent housing.Completing strengths and needs assessments with clients to understand their aspirations and support needs.Agreeing individual goals with clients and supporting them to work towards these.Motivating and supporting clients to engage in meaningful daytime activities.Encouraging involvement in skills development, training, volunteering and employment–related opportunities.Supporting clients to take part in healthy and wellbeing–focused activities.

What we're looking for

At least 6 months' paid support and care experience.Strong communication skills, with tact and sensitivity.Ability to remain calm under pressure.Experience of coping with and de–escalating challenging behaviour.
