Job Type: Support Worker

Location – Clapton North, London

Contract Type – Full Time 36.5 hours per week

Salary – GBP15.50 – GBP16.50 per hour DOE

About the Role

Our client is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their team, providing practical and emotional support to Veterans living in the Clapton North community.

You will play a key role in helping ex–Service men and women maintain their independence, improve wellbeing and stay connected to their local community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of those who have served our country.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person centred support to Veterans, including home visits, welfare checks, and advocacy.

Assist with access to housing, healthcare, benefits, and community resources.

Work closely with local agencies, health professionals and Veterans' organisations.

Encourage social inclusion through local events, peer groups, and community activities.

Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to support plans and risk assessments.

Promote dignity, respect, and independence at all times.

About You

Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with diverse needs (experience with Veterans is a plus).

Strong communication, listening and problem–solving skills.

Empathetic, patient, and non–judgemental approach.

Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge of local services in Clapton North and surrounding areas (desirable).

A valid driver's licence or ability to travel across the community as needed.
