Job Title: Supervising Social Worker

Location: Exeter, and surrounding areas

Employment Type: Permanent, Full–time (Hybrid–working)

Salary: 40,000

We are a working with an independent fostering agency who are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced fostering Supervising Social Worker to join their team and make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.

Key Responsibilities of the Supervising Social Worker:

Supervise and Support Foster Carers: Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to provide quality care to children.

Reviews: As a Supervising Social Worker you will regularly review and monitor the progress and wellbeing of children in placement.

Compliance and Safeguarding: Ensure all fostering activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and agency policies. Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.

Multi–Agency Collaboration: Work collaboratively with local authorities, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to the care and support of children.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up–to–date records of all interactions and activities, ensuring confidentiality and data protection protocols are followed.

Qualifications and Experience fo this Supervising Social Worker role:

Social Work Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Social Work, with current registration with Social Work England.

Experience: Minimum of two years' post–qualification experience in Children's services social work (Independent Fostering or Local Authority), with a strong understanding of fostering regulations and best practices.

Skills: To excel in this Supervising Social Worker position, excellent communication, assessment, and report writing skills are required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
