Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority within Basildon to recruit for a Social Worker in the Children in Care team within the Social Care Industry on a permanent basis paying GBP45,217 to GBP54,395 P/AnnumResponsibilities includes:Attending CourtCourt Reports Case management LAC reviews Conducting reviews Adoption Permanency Pathway PlanningSection 20 care ordersVisit children and young people in placement, develop permanency plans which include Special Guardianship Order (SGO) and adoptionUndertake life-story work to enable a child to understand the reasons for being in care and also support children to return home to birth family. Experience preferred: Post qualifying experience of working as a Senior Practitioner - Children in Care Team within the UK Social Care industry.Experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members and/or carers and other multi-agency professionals. Minimum Requirements: HCPC Registration2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industryEnhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)Eligibility to work in the UKDriving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.
