Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker Children s EBD Home

Location: Horley, Surrey

Salary: GBP36,000 GBP41,300 per annum

Contract Type: Full–time, Permanent

Overview:

Are you a dedicated residential childcare professional looking for your next step into a leadership role? We re working exclusively with a respected and values–led children s residential care provider in Horley to recruit a Senior Residential Support Worker.

You ll be joining a trauma–informed, therapeutic service that supports children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) through consistency, compassion, and structured care.

This is more than just a job it's an opportunity to help children and young people rewrite their stories in a safe, supportive environment where they are truly seen, heard, and valued.

Salary & Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and support to care staff during shifts Deliver high–quality, therapeutic care to children with complex needs Take an active role in care planning, safeguarding, and team meetings Promote independence, emotional well–being, and positive routines Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, child–focused culture Ensure consistent implementation of behaviour support plans and safeguarding procedures

Requirements:

Previous experience in a residential children s home (EBD or similar setting) A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a small staff team Working knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation (Children s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards) Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and regular sleep–ins Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work toward it) Minimum age 21 (due to legislative requirements)
