Job: Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Support

Type: Permanent

Full Time

Location: Leeds

Pay: GBP95.00 - GBP115.00 per day (GBP18,500 - GBP21,500 per annum)

The Role:

Veritas Education are looking to recruit multiple SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) support staff members for a range of different special needs settings and schools we work in partnership with.

Throughout this role, you will support a broad scope of different learners, with varying needs, behaviours and backgrounds. Support staff will be expected to provide nurturing, trauma informed and compassionate support for all the learners they work with.

Listed below are some of the key job responsibilities:

Support on a 1:1 basis and in small groupsManage and de-escalate challenging or at-risk behaviourShow a good understanding on learning needs and safeguarding requirement'sWork effectively and professionally alongside other support staff, teachers and outside agencies to provide appropriate education for the studentsBe comfortable supporting children across primary and secondary school age groupsSupporting across a range of social, behavioural and learning needs If you feel like your previous experience is an ideal fit for the above role, please apply for the job direct.
