Location: Eastergate, West Sussex

Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Setting: 4-Bed Children's Home

Salary: GBP12.30 - GBP12.80 per hour plus GBP75 per sleep (Full-Time, Permanent)

Hours: Full-time, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts on a rota basis

Our 4-bed home provides a stable, nurturing environment for children and young people aged 8 to 17 who have complex emotional and behavioural needs. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in helping them grow, heal, and move forward with confidence.

Your Role as a Residential Support Worker:

Form meaningful, supportive relationships with the young people in your careAssist with daily routines, from personal care to school preparation and leisure activitiesPromote independence, resilience, and self-esteem through consistent supportWork collaboratively with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred careHelp safeguard the physical and emotional wellbeing of the children at all timesEncourage healthy habits, hobbies, and positive lifestyle choicesAccurately record daily events, incidents, and progress to inform care plansWhat We're Looking For:

Previous experience working with children or young people is ideal but not essentialA calm, empathetic, and patient approachWillingness to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-insExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesA full UK driving licence is essentialCommitment to completing all required training, including the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held)Why Join Us?
