Description
We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care to our young people with Emotional & Behaviour Difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Provide direct care and supervision to children with challenging behaviour and complex needs. Develop and maintain positive relationships with the children, fostering a sense of trust and security. Implement and follow individualised care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met. Manage and respond to challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies and interventions. Support children in their educational, social, and recreational activities. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements. Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and families to ensure a holistic approach to care. Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience working with children, particularly those with challenging behaviour and complex needs. Relevant qualifications in Residential Child Care, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields are desirable but not essential. Strong understanding of child development and the impact of trauma and adverse experiences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. Strong problem–solving skills and the ability to think on your feet. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Passionate about making a difference in young lives. Will understand trauma and have the resilience to deal with challenging behaviour.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to provide advice and specialist guidance to our children and families (once trained)
Able to use your own initiative to resolve problems.
Be a positive role model for the young people.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work
Ability to work as part of a team with the young people
Available to work Monday to Sunday between the hours of 7:30 am and 11pm, and Sleep in up to 8 nights per month.
